Can you transfer numbers?
Numbers can be transferred within SI entries entry system. We do not process any transfers out with SI Entries.
The Participant acknowledges that it is their responsibility to obtain insurance cover for their participation in the event and they also acknowledge that the organiser does not provide insurance cover for the participants in the event.
Participants are strongly recommended to take out appropriate insurance that covers their participation in the event and repayment of their entry Fee should they be unable to participate.
SI Entries offer refund protect which is an add on at your time of entry and designed to protect participants in this event.
Collection of race merchandise
Only runners who turn up race registration are entitled to collect the race merchandise associated with that race.
Nature of Event & Safety
Greener Miles Running have an obligation to ensure that the event is as safe as possible without diminishing the nature of the challenge. We will have carried out all relevant risk assessments in accordance with the ARC’s (Association of Running Clubs) best practice guidance. Participant safety is ultimately each participant’s personal responsibility.
By participating, you accept that is it your responsibility to keep yourself and/or your team safe. You understand that the event organisers will not always know your location during an event, and you accept that it is your responsibility for ensuring the event organisers know your location in the event of an incident. You accept that a rescue may be inherently dangerous, and by seeking/accepting assistance you accept the risks involved.
Any exchange of entry will require the new runner to accept fully the Terms and Conditions enclosed within this document.
By participating in the event you fully realize the dangers of the event and fully assume the risks associated with such participation, including but not limited to the following dangers; exhaustion, collision with pedestrians, vehicles, other participants and fixed or moving objects, weather conditions, animals, the possibility of physical and or mental trauma and injury including death.
At any point during the event, you may be required as part of the event route to cross over and or move along side roads, byways and rail crossings. At such times it is your responsibility to carry out your own risk assessments and only proceed if you are happy with the level of risk to you.
If at any time you must retire from an event, you accept that it is your sole responsibility to inform the event organiser/ Race director ASAP that you have withdrawn. If done so via SMS you must make sure that you have had an acknowledgment. You must still return to race HQ to ensure that you have been accounted for.
You the participant in the event hereby waive any and all rights and/or claims you may have against the Organisers Greener Miles Running, its employees, directors, consultants, and event sponsors for any damages and/or claims that may arise directly or indirectly from participation in the Event. Including but not limited to, the following dangers: exhaustion, collision with pedestrians, vehicles, other participants and fixed or moving objects, weather conditions, animals, the possibility of physical and or mental trauma and injury including death.
You the participant fully realize the dangers of the event and fully assume the risks associated with such participation, including but not limited to the following dangers; exhaustion, collision with pedestrians, vehicles, other participants and fixed or moving objects, weather conditions, animals, the possibility of physical and or mental trauma and injury including death.
You the participant acknowledge that the organiser holds not responsibility for your medical wellbeing and all personal medical conditions and medications are your sole responsibility, whether you have declared them to event organiser or not.
You the participant are recommended to have a full medical check from a GP prior to engagement in the event to confirm your ability to take part.
You declare yourself physically fit and able to take part in the event.
You agree to abide by the rules and conditions laid down for the event and to follow instructions issued by the organiser of the event. You understand that circumstances beyond the control of the organisers may cause the event to be modified, postponed or cancelled.
Event Cancellation/ Force Majeure
Whilst we do our best to avoid cancelling events, circumstances may arise when this is unavoidable.
Examples of, but not limited to include, adverse weather (posing a risk of serious injury) like hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, and weather disturbances sometimes referred to as “acts of God.” Other such occurrences may include war, terrorism or threats of terrorism, civil disorder, labour strikes or disruptions, fire, disease or medical epidemics or outbreaks, and curtailment of transportation facilities.
In situations such as these we will take advice and guidance from the emergency services and/or Public Health England.
If we need to cancel an event for any reason, we will reschedule a new date for the earliest possible opportunity, your entry fee will be carried forward to the new date.
If the event cannot be rescheduled your entry will be carried forward onto the entry list for the following year or onto a different Greener Miles Running event. If you are unable to attend either the new date or year, then we will provide you with a refund.
Photos of you may be published online. Photos published online may be viewable publicly.
By taking part in the event you are agreeing to all image rights belonging to the organisers of the event.
If you or someone for whom you are responsible does not want to appear in any race photographs, please communicate this prior to the event.
Any personal belongings brought to an event are left entirely at the participant’s own risk – this includes designated bag drop areas.
Participants are advised to bring only limited valuables to events and, if necessary.
Due to the nature of the events, not all baggage or equipment can always be kept secure.
